FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SFA Architects, Parent company of PDT Architects, Honored By Cincinnati Magazine
CINCINNATI, Ohio - SFA Architects, Inc. announced Thursday (October 1, 2009) they have been honored by Cincinnati Magazine receiving an award for outstanding design in the Commercial Space under 3,500 square feet category. Award winners were announced earlier this week at a breakfast held at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal.
The project receiving the award from Cincinnati Magazine was the renovation of the 18th floor of the Liberty Bank Tower building into the SFA Architects, Inc., and PDT Architects offices located at 120 West 2nd street in Dayton, Ohio.
"We are honored to be recognized by Cincinnati Magazine's annual interior design competition," said John Patrick Rademacher, AIA, Principal for SFA Architects, Inc. "We consider this award as one in a representative capacity to be shared with all of our SFA associates."
The Cincinnati Magazine Interior Design Competition honors outstanding and innovative residential and commercial interior design in Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky. Winners were selected by a panel of design professionals based in Indianapolis.
"After removing a dropped ceiling from a previous renovation within the historic 1920's building, we chose to restore the original ceiling height in the 1,600 square foot office suite," said Rademacher. "Our design team designed the lighting for the space without disrupting the original ceiling lines by utilizing understated wall sconces and directed task and accent lighting."
Competition winners will be featured in the "Home & Garden" section of Cincinnati Magazine's December 2009 issue.
