FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Two Prominent Local Architectural Practices SFA Architects and PDT Architects Join Forces

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Two of Cincinnati's premier design and architecture practices, SFA Architects and PDT Design announced Friday (September 18, 2009) they will combine forces in order to take advantage of the distinct capabilities of each firm. PDT Design will now be known as PDT Architects. SFA Architects will keep their same name.

"Our decision to partner with PDT is the end result of conversations that have taken place over the last three years," said John Patrick Rademacher, AIA, Principal for SFA Architects, Inc. "In the past, SFA has worked predominantly in the public market, while PDT has been in the commercial market. This was a unique opportunity to form a relationship that will be advantageous to both parties. I am confident this will be a partnership that benefits not only the two firms, but more importantly, the clients and the communities we will serve."

"We share the concern that one of the many challenges attached to growing companies is how to maintain strong client focus," said PDT Architects Principal and President, Bob Zielasko. "Together our firms recognize that client needs are rapidly evolving and we are determined to evolve with them by providing premium service with ample resources and efficiency. Our clients can rest assured that while our partnership with SFA will enable us to provide greater depth and expanded services, we will continue to provide the same manner of service and quality of design they have come to expect from PDT over the last 60 years."

PDT Architects and SFA Architects have created some of the area's most distinguished landmarks and have won numerous industry awards over the years. Each of the firms work has been honored in the past by the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A), Society of American Registered Architects (S.A.R.A.), American Subcontractors Association (A.S.A.), General Contractors of Ohio and the Cincinnati Preservation Association.

Locally, some of the more notable projects completed by the two agencies include: PDT¡'s URS building and Shillitos Lofts downtown, the recent Baldwin Center expansions and Rookwood Commons Shopping Center. Riverview East Academy, the Advanced Technology and Learning Center at Cincinnati State University, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency building in Clifton have all been designed by SFA.

A new website at www.pdtarchitects.com was launched on Friday, September 18. The web site for SFA is www.sfa-architects.com.
