Love & Faith

In the mid-1940s, the St. Antoninus parish began work on a master plan that included a new school, church, rectory, and gymnasium. However, funding circumstances required that priority be given to building the school, and only the basement of the planned church was constructed. After almost 30 years of worship in this basement space, the parish decided to build a new church structure atop the existing foundation, while allowing the basement space to be used by the expanding school. The resulting colonial-style church blends into the campus as a whole, while at the same time assuming its appropriate stature as the most prominent building. The new main sanctuary provides seating for 800, with a daily chapel that seats 50, and a large greeting space for socializing before and after services.
